About the Role
The School Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting assessment data as it relates to individual student achievement and the overall academic performance of all schools grades K-12. This position maintains accurate and confidential data files of student achievement, supports data analysis training for teachers and administrators, and designs reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assist with analyzing local, state, and national assessment data, focusing on at-risk students.
- Develop and maintain historical student and school data files to monitor performance.
- Interpret and review assessment data with administrators and teachers.
- Compile data from multiple assessments to create achievement profiles.
- Train faculty and staff in using data to improve instruction and target achievement gaps.
- Ensure the validity of data presented to staff and stakeholders.
- Attend relevant training sessions and conferences to support school improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field AND Two (2) years of data analyst experience OR Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to travel at least 15% of the time.
- Ability to pass required background check.
Skills
- Experience using academic data to impact instruction and strategic planning.
- Proficiency in data processing software and statistical analysis.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, to explain technical information to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively with staff from various areas.
- Knowledge of quality management, systems, and strategic planning.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in designing and formatting data files and tables.
Desired Qualifications
- Salesforce experience.
- Experience with data from various student assessments and large data sets.
- Experience with SQL, Snowflake.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of the school improvement process.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Work Environment
This is a home-based, part-time position paying $25.00 per hour. Residency in Florida is required.
