About the role
This is a part-time, non-benefitted position working up to 28 hours per week, Monday through Saturday. Shift times depend on landfill needs.
Responsibilities
- Operate a computerized truck scale
- Collect fees and balance a cash drawer
- Communicate with customers in person and by telephone
- Monitor incoming waste loads
- Perform reporting and data entry
- Provide clerical support
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or GED certification
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in customer service in a business office environment dealing with cashier duties, billing and payment collections, data entry, and computer operation; or any combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority
- Experience handling cash transactions
- Experience performing customer service work
