Part-Time Operator

Part-time position subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement in Vacaville, CA.

Pay

Starting pay $18.00 per hour with progression to $29.50 over a 5-year period.

Responsibilities

• Execute flawless operations by following designated routes and schedules while adhering to safety protocols and traffic regulations.
• Provide exceptional care and assistance to passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation.
• Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues, and maintain cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
• Uphold company policies and procedures, including seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and compliance with regulatory mandates.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• 21 years or older.
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional).
• Valid CDL required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable (DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason).
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Physical Requirements

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions (100% of the job is performed outside).
• Work alone and in remote locations.
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day).
• Frequently walk for long distances on possible sloped, slippery, or uneven surfaces.
• Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds occasionally throughout the workday.
• Lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
• Occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to access files or equipment stored at ground level.
• Withstand heavy traffic areas, exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
