Job Summary
Aids in-store supervision, providing leadership to all associates and delivering exceptional customer service. Functions as a front-line member of the Retail Store Leadership Team at Stonebriar Center Mall, Frisco, TX.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Solves guest issues effectively.
- Keeps supervisor informed of product, guest, and personnel issues.
- Makes decisions regarding guest returns in accordance with retail policies.
- Maintains guest service levels; provides feedback as needed.
- Utilizes GUESTS program during interactions with guests and handling guest-owned jewelry.
- Prepares and reviews supply orders from the JAC warehouse, orders other items through purchasing channels.
- Performs store opening and closing duties.
- Provides leadership and training to associates in all areas of responsibility, emphasizing guest service and sales.
- Captures and reviews regular associate training and seasonal training.
- Delegates tasks to associates.
- Assists in annual inventory process; ensures compliance with established processes and guidelines.
- Participates in inventory cycle counting, adjustments, shipping, and receiving of merchandise.
- Notifies appropriate retail and corporate about inventory issues.
- Conducts regularly scheduled store meetings.
- Develops and conducts team-building activities.
- Monitors product trends and communicates to District Manager.
- Trains staff to operate service equipment and small tools.
- Ensures product care services meet/exceed operational standards.
- Stages, sets up, maintains, and replaces display items using visual merchandising guidelines.
- Maintains company standards for overall store presentation.
- Processes employee purchases in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Ensures company security procedures are used to protect assets.
- Reviews/creates employee schedules in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Approves store schedules ensuring they follow operational and budgetary guidelines, and customer service levels are met.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Maintains safety regulations and reports unsafe conditions.
- Adheres to company policies including attendance guidelines, freedom from harassment, and electronic communication guidelines.
- Assumes lead role in absence of other leadership team members.
- Buys into building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to build positive working relationships and establish trust and credibility.
- Assists in other areas as assigned by supervisor.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- High school degree or equivalent with 1 year of retail or customer service experience, or relevant education/experience.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Pass background check and drug screen meeting Company standards.
