About the role
The Associate I, Retail Sales Floor is responsible for ensuring the sales floor area is well stocked with product in an organized and presentable fashion. The Associate will interact with customers, providing excellent customer service and assistance.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed minimum productivity standards and KPI expectations for assigned duties.
- Act as an ambassador of pricing according to Goodwill standards of quality and value (good, better, best), including researching item values online or using company tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor by regularly cleaning shelves and racks, picking up items from the floor, and putting away products from racks, carts, or baskets.
- Ensure sales floor areas are properly merchandised (categorized, colorized, sized) and flex product to improve customer shopping experience and increase sales.
- Communicate targeted needs for the sales floor to the manager on duty to assist production.
- Provide excellent customer service by adhering to the 10-foot rule (smile, greet, make eye contact) and answer product questions as needed.
- Rotate or pull old or unsold products from the sales floor to refresh product selection.
- Identify and pull E-Commerce products from the sales floor.
- Follow all retail center policies, safety processes, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Cross-train in other departments or areas and act as a backup when required.
- Perform additional job duties as required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One year of retail experience preferred; prior visual merchandising experience is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to make decisions independently.
- Ability to use basic technologies to follow company standards.
- Strong judgment to assess product quality, value, and pricing, including researching values as needed.
- Ability to distinguish colors and assess product quality and value.
- Effective communication with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and occasional overtime.

Pay
$15.95 per hour.
