Part-Time Sales Associate - Famous Footwear

Famous Footwear is your place for athletic, fashion and casual shoes for the whole family from hundreds of name brands. As a Sales Associate, you’ll create a welcoming in-store culture where customers feel valued and loyal to the store, brands, and company.

Responsibilities

• Ace Retail Operations: ensure daily store tasks (pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory) are completed, keeping the store clean, organized, and shoppable according to company standards.
• Be a Famous Culture Influencer: champion the company culture by delivering stellar customer engagement and top-notch experiences, helping customers find the styles and brands they crave.
• Elevate to Your Goal-Crushing Era: take accountability for your effort and its impact on store performance, drive sales with purpose and urgency, and communicate clearly and timely with the team to achieve goals.
• Act with Integrity: adhere to company policies and procedures, seek feedback to improve your skills, and focus on professional development.

Other responsibilities may be performed as needed to meet business needs. Overtime hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Able to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Demonstrates positive communication with store associates at all levels.
• Exercises independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time.
