About the role

Join the LEGO® Brand Retail team as a Seasonal “Brick Specialist” and provide inspirational guest experiences in an interactive and vibrant store environment. We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic individuals to join us on a part-time basis in the Flatiron District, New York City.

Responsibilities

  • Exceed guests’ expectations through fun and meaningful interactions by greeting every guest, performing all cash register functions, and portraying a professional, gracious, friendly, and engaging manner at all times (80%).
  • Provide a clean, safe, and visually stimulating environment by performing daily cleaning duties, maintaining store displays, and learning and executing LEGO Brand Retail visual standards (10%).
  • Safely and efficiently operate the store stockroom by assisting in the receiving of merchandise, maintaining the stockroom to LEGO Brand Retail standards, knowing and abiding by all safety regulations, and notifying management of potential shortage situations (10%).
  • Communicate effectively with team members and guests.
  • Process information and merchandise through the register system.
  • Freely access all areas of the store including sales floor, stock areas, register areas, and loading dock.
  • Share our commitment to providing an active hands-on experience that encourages imagination and creativity through in-store play.

Requirements

  • Work various hours, days, nights, and weekends as business dictates.
  • Ability to work in various temperatures and weather conditions inside and outside of the store.
  • Provide availability for up to 25 hours per week, including at least one weekend day.
  • Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours.
  • May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
  • Vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Involves lifting at least 30 lbs (up to 40 lbs in some locations).
  • Constant use of voice amplifiers, headsets, and/or bullhorns, in addition to dancing, singing, and performing.
  • Must be able to wear an earpiece and headset.

Pay

The hourly wage for the position ranges from $19.50 to $20.50, based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. Actual pay is determined by a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law.
