Sales Associate (Part Time) - Hardware - Clay, NY

About the role

The Sales Associate assists customers throughout the retail store, providing excellent customer service. Duties include greeting customers, answering product-related questions, performing product assembly, and handling customer returns.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they shop in the retail store
• Assist with customer service questions
• Price store merchandise and make price changes as requested
• Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested
• Assist in receiving freight and organizing incoming products
• Participate in cycle counts
• Answer incoming telephone calls and handle appropriately
• Utilize KCX cash register system for customer transactions
• Accurately handle cash transactions
• Handle customer returns
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills
• Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
• Long periods of standing
• Frequent bending and twisting

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Knowledge of and/or experience with FFL requirements for the sale of firearms preferred
