About the role
Novice Nurse (Registered Nurse with less than 12 months of experience) in a training program designed for new graduate RNs or those with less than one year of experience.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and services.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitor effectiveness, and document progress.
- Respond to changes in patient conditions, report to supervisors or physicians, and document care coordination.
- Ensure safety of the environment and equipment, adhering to universal precautions.
- Provide one-on-one hands-on care in a home setting, gaining skills in direct patient care, care management, and specialized procedures such as vent/trach/g-tube management.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active RN license and current CPR certification.
- PPD or chest X-ray if applicable.
- Willingness to commit to a minimum of 24 hours of patient care weekly.
