Boothby Therapy Services is hiring a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide pediatric occupational therapy services to students in grades K–8 in Tamworth, New Hampshire. This is a part-time (20 hours/week) position with an immediate start in a collaborative school/special-education setting.
About the role
Part-time (20 hours/week) position in a public K–8 school. Pay rate: $38–$50/hour based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide school-based occupational therapy services to K–8 students
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and services
- Deliver direct therapy services (individual and small-group sessions)
- Support students with:
- Fine motor skills and handwriting
- Sensory processing and sensory integration
- Executive functioning and organization
- Activities of daily living (ADLs) and classroom participation
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, speech-language pathologists (SLPs), and physical therapists (PTs)
- Recommend and implement classroom accommodations, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
- Communicate effectively with families and caregivers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Active New Hampshire Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility)
- Experience or interest in pediatrics, school-based therapy, or special education preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
