About the role
dWELL is a recovery housing program focused on supporting young adults in their transition to independence through personalized care and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Foster a safe, supportive, and respectful environment while building rapport with residents and maintaining clear professional boundaries
- Provide individualized skill-building support to help residents strengthen independence, daily living skills, and overall self-sufficiency
- Support daily program structure by assisting with resident schedules, wake-ups, check-ins/check-outs, escorts, pharmacy pickups, appointments, and offsite engagements
- Track resident participation in clinical, community, and program activities while supporting accountability with chores, routines, and household expectations
- Support new resident admissions, orientations, and transitions while communicating relevant updates, concerns, and resident needs to program leadership and team members
- Support resident safety and program compliance by administering drug screens, BAC testing, room checks, building sweeps, and contraband monitoring in alignment with program protocols
- Complete required resident care documentation, including shift reports, UA reports, chore reports, and other program documentation
- Conduct regular house walkthroughs to help maintain a clean, organized, safe, and tour-ready environment
- Maintain supplies, assist with apartment resets, room setup, move-ins, and admissions preparation
- Communicate inventory needs proactively and help track supplies to prevent interruptions in daily operations or programming
- Monitor overnight safety and structure by completing room checks, hallway walkthroughs, and resident support in alignment with program protocols
- Secure resident electronics when indicated and provide wake-up support for residents
Requirements
- Previous experience in a recovery, mental health, or behavioral health setting is preferred
- Knowledge of substance use, mental health conditions, and/or peer recovery support
- Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to build rapport
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort navigating sensitive situations
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays as needed
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 20–40 lbs occasionally
- Ability to stand, walk, or respond quickly during emergencies
- Ability to walk multiple levels of stairs multiple times daily
- Must be able to complete facility rounds and inspections
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of substance use, mental health conditions, and/or peer recovery support
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb to reach materials
Benefits
- Flexible schedule: Monday-Friday from 7:30a-12:30p
- Compensation: Hourly rate is $20/hour for standard shifts and $23/hour for overnight shifts
