Part-time Research Support

About the role

The College of Medicine, Department of Molecular and Precision Medicine, Mills lab is seeking applicants for part-time job of Research Support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct studies focused on recruitment of stem cells in tumorigenesis, including investigating the signaling mechanisms that are involved in how cells change state in programs such as paligenosis
• Assist with mouse breeding to sustain colonies for these experiments
• Harvest and prepare tissue for mRNA, protein, and histological analyses

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in molecular or cell biology, or related field
• 8-10 years laboratory experience working in cell biology research
• Record of experience presenting and publishing scientific findings
• At least 2 years of experience working with mouse colonies for research, including handling, propagation, and maintenance

Pay

The starting rate for this job is $16.00.

Schedule

Up to 24 hrs/week Monday - Friday, with occasional weekend hours
