About the role
The Eberly College of Science, Department of Physics is seeking applicants for a part-time Research Assistant position.
Responsibilities
- Conduct gravitational wave data analysis for the Penn State LIGO group
- Perform searches for compact binary mergers
- Develop methods, models, and software to support these activities
Qualifications
- Significant post-graduate experience with LIGO data analysis
- Significant post-graduate experience with research in gravitational wave physics
Schedule
20 hours weekly
Pay
The starting rate for this position is $25 per hour.
