Part-Time - Registered Nurse (RN)- Days - Eventide Prairie Commons

Eventide Prairie Commons in Grand Island is currently hiring for a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN)/ Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an Day shift 6a-6p (12 Hours). This position has a every third weekend and holiday rotation.

Ideal Candidate

• 18 years of age or older
• Successful completion of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse course of study
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 6 months experience as an RN or LPN, preferred
• RN or LPN License in good standing as recorded on the Nebraska State Registry or other Nurse Compact state required
• CPR Required

Essential Job Duties

• Follows through on physician’s orders in accordance with Eventide's policies and procedures
• If appropriate, receives and records physician’s orders
• Prepares, administers, and/or supervises administration of medication, treatments and other nursing services as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures
• Observes Senior/client, watching for any sign of adverse reaction to medications
• Accurately records vital signs
• Diligently observes Senior/client skin per Eventide's policies, proactively taking steps to avoid pressure ulcers
• Completes procedures and documents the appropriate information on the Senior’s/client’s medical record in a timely manner according to Eventide's policies and procedures
• With particular attention to accuracy and timeliness, follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation
• Provides direction and monitors Med Aides who are delivering medications to Seniors/clients
• Follows through on the comprehensive care plan as developed for each individual senior/client
• Provides supervision and education to Seniors/clients for the self-administration of medications
• When applicable, assists in teaching the Senior/client and/or caregiver the necessary skills to allow the Senior/client to return to his/her home
• Assists in writing and implementing a comprehensive nursing plan of care
• Updates the plan based on changes in the Senior/client physical and/or emotional state

Compensation

At Eventide, we value our employees and offer a competitive starting pay range of $36-$40.32 per hour for RN's based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
