About the Role
The Airline Ramp Agent handles essential ground support tasks including loading and unloading baggage, marshalling aircraft, and performing water servicing, with a strong emphasis on safety and attention to detail. They operate ground support equipment, connect/remove ground power, perform aircraft pushback, wing walking, and ensure a secure work environment.
Responsibilities
- Marshall aircraft upon arrival and departure
- Safely operate equipment like belt loaders, tugs, and baggage carts
- Load/unload baggage, sort cargo, and perform ground services
- Assist with aircraft pushback and guiding functions
- Maintain safety protocols and secure work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift heavy baggage (up to 50 lbs or more)
- Valid driver’s license and communication skills
- Flexibility for varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to safety regulations
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Preferred Skills
- Experience in aviation or ground handling
- Knowledge of aircraft types and airport layout
- Proficiency with ground support equipment and safety protocols
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, multitasking, and customer service skills
Working Conditions
