Role Overview: The Registered Radiology Technologist, Weekender, performs diagnostic imaging procedures using x-ray equipment, ensuring high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure. They prepare patients, operate imaging equipment, and assist with specialized techniques such as CT, MRI, and mammography. The role involves educating patients, maintaining documentation, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting scheduling and billing processes. Responsibilities Perform general radiology, portable, and fluoroscopic exams.Produce accurate images for interpretation.Manage image archiving, transmission, and printing via PACS.Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.Educate patients about procedures and equipment.Maintain documentation and report equipment malfunctions.Assist with scheduling and patient prioritization. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.Current state licensure and BLS certification.Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and effective communication skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Experience & Physical Requirements One year of radiologic technologist experience.Ability to stand, walk, lift, and manipulate equipment for extended periods.Adherence to standard protective precautions.
