About the Role
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures by interpreting orders, positioning patients, selecting technical settings, and operating imaging equipment. Develops films with proper techniques, ensures safety standards, and assists physicians with administering agents and medications. Maintains proficiency with radiology systems and office equipment, supports various radiology areas, and works as part of a team during diverse shifts. May have on-call duties and responsibilities for equipment maintenance and training students.
Responsibilities
- Interpret exam requests and produce diagnostic images
- Assist with patient positioning and develop films
- Help with medication administration under physician supervision
- Maintain current certifications and support safety standards
- Assist in training students and colleagues
- Support specialized radiology areas as needed
- Participate in on-call duties when required
- Contribute to equipment maintenance and institutional education
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program with clinical experience
- Hold or be eligible for ARRT certification
- Maintain CPR certification
- State licensure may be required depending on location
