Part Time Quality Tech

About the role

The Part-time Quality Tech is responsible for all activities associated with box checks, rework, and quality reports and audits under the direction of the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities

• Check and continue to monitor quality of boxes during the run, including - mis-slotted boxes, loose liner, misprints, and any other defects.
• Complete necessary quality reports and audits in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure unit quantities are correct.
• Pull excess scrap from units.
• Rework any returned product.

Requirements

• HS Diploma/GED
• One year of experience within a manufacturing environment
• Prior work experience as a forklift operator
• Able to read a tape measure
• Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages and measurements

Physical Demands

• Regularly stand, walk, and talk or hear
• Frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally sit
• Sometimes lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Work Environment

• Exposed to moving mechanical parts
• Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions
• Occasional exposure to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; vibration
• Noise level in the work environment is usually loud

Pay

$17.60 per hour

Tuesday - Friday, 1st shift
