Part-Time Purchasing Support Specialist
As a project management specialist, you’ll help ensure success through careful analysis and effective communication on Army contracts. You’ll implement and maintain organizational programs, review contracts, and assist with project cost accounting and tactical planning using resources like Excel. Regular interaction with customers, vendors, and leadership will be key to keeping programs on track and meeting quality standards. This role offers the opportunity to influence a meaningful mission while developing and maintaining program strategy to improve the purchasing process and response time.
Responsibilities
- Support Army contracts from concept to completion, ensuring projects stay on a productive path
- Implement and maintain organizational programs in support of Army contracts
- Review contracts and assist with project cost accounting
- Engage in tactical planning using tools like Excel
- Communicate regularly with customers, vendors, and leadership to ensure program goals and quality standards are met
- Help improve the purchasing process and response time
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with Army contracts or within the Army
- Experience with the purchasing process from request through delivery
- Knowledge of FAR rules and regulations in accordance with contract purchasing
- Ability to organize and respond efficiently and professionally to requests
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-pressure, quick-turn purchases
- Knowledge of Booz Allen practices and processes
- Ability to juggle multiple actions at once while maintaining organization

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by factors including location, education, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
Schedule
This is a part-time role. The work model may be remote, hybrid, or onsite, with expectations as follows:
- Remote: Primarily virtual, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
- Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer facilities as needed.
- Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with direct collaboration required.
Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
