About the role

We are looking for a dependable and service-oriented Part-Time Property Manager to help oversee daily operations for a residential community in California. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who can balance resident support, property upkeep, and administrative coordination in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate brings strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to maintaining a well-run and welcoming property.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, addressing questions, concerns, and community-related communication in a thoughtful and attentive manner.
  • Coordinate maintenance service requests from intake through completion, ensuring timely follow-up and clear communication with residents and service teams.
  • Perform routine inspections of the property to identify repair needs, cleanliness issues, and potential safety concerns, then help drive corrective action.
  • Support leasing administration by assisting with renewals, move-in and move-out processes, application records, and resident documentation.
  • Maintain organized property files and update operational records to support accurate reporting and compliance needs.
  • Work with vendors and contractors to schedule services, monitor performance, and help ensure property needs are completed efficiently.
  • Assist with invoice tracking, service documentation, and basic agreement coordination related to outside vendors.
  • Help monitor rent-related records and respond to resident account questions while providing general administrative support as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in property management, property administration, leasing, resident services, or a related support role.
  • Background supporting residential or multifamily properties is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of resident relations, maintenance coordination, and lease documentation processes.
  • Experience using property management platforms such as Yardi, AppFolio, RentCafe, Buildium, or similar software.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
