Part Time Program Manager - Springfield Public Schools

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment to support the success of all students. About the role

As a Program Manager, you will drive the mission by ensuring safety and joy standards are met, supporting operational efficiency, and fostering respectful relationships among staff. You will maintain team cohesion and productivity through continual coaching and effective communication with families, client partners, peers, and children.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit role model qualities to ensure safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities for a team of staff members.
• Support operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
• Outline attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensure program tasks are completed effectively.
• Provide continual coaching to address challenges or issues promptly, maintaining team cohesion and productivity.
• Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants.
• Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to build effective communication and relationships.
• Respond promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours to ensure transparency and trust.
• Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support outlined program goals and implement changes or processes as guided.
• Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs, ensuring “name to face” attendance procedures are completed per company policy.
• Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.

Requirements

• Experience working amongst competing priorities and delivering quality service to all stakeholders.
• Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
• Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, and visual) with adults and children.
• Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
• Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
• Meet Massachusetts state-specific requirements, including:
  • First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • 20 years of age or older.
• One of the following combinations of education and experience:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Guidance, Human Services, Nursing, Psychology, Physical Education, Recreation, Child Psychology, the Arts, Sociology, or Child Care; and 6 months of experience working with school-age children.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in any field or an Associate’s Degree in any of the fields listed above; and 9 months of experience working with school-age children.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; and one year of experience working with school-age children.

Pay

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM.
