Part Time Program Manager - Santa Monica/ Malibu School District

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. About the role

As a Program Manager, you will drive the mission by ensuring safety, joy, and operational efficiency in our programs. You will support a team of staff members, maintain compliance with licensing standards, and foster a positive, engaging environment for children.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit role model qualities to ensure safety and joy standards are met, supporting a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities among staff.
• Maintain operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
• Outline attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensure program tasks are completed effectively.
• Provide continual coaching and foster respectful relationships among staff to address challenges promptly and maintain team cohesion and productivity.
• Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants; identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to build effective communication and relationships.
• Respond promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours to ensure transparency and trust.
• Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support outlined program goals and assist in implementing changes or processes.
• Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs, ensuring “name to face” attendance procedures are completed per company policy.
• Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
• Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
• Strong communication skills; oral, written, and visual with adults and children.
• Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
• Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
• Ability to meet California state-specific requirements, including:
  • LIVE Scan fingerprint background check.
  • Mandated Reporter training.
  • 18+ years of age.
  • Proof of High School diploma/GED.
  • First Aid and CPR-in-person EMSA 16 Hr Prevention Health certification (or willingness to acquire).
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • 48 units at an institution of higher learning; OR an Associate's (or higher) degree; OR passing the District's Instructional Assistant written examination.

Qualifications

• Experience working amongst competing priorities and delivering quality service to all stakeholders.

Pay

$26 - $28 per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 12:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Early dismissal every Wednesday at 11:30 am. Summer Camp starts in June with possible opportunities for the 2026-2027 school year.
