Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended-day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering safe, engaging experiences for children.
Pay
$26 - $28 per hour (based on education and experience).
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 12:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Summer camp starts in June with possible opportunities for the 2026-2027 school year. Early dismissal every Wednesday at 11:30 am.
Responsibilities
- Exhibit role model qualities to ensure safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities for a team of staff members.
- Support operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
- Outline attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensure program tasks are completed effectively.
- Provide continual coaching and foster respectful relationships among staff to address challenges promptly, maintaining team cohesion and productivity.
- Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants and mitigate potential risks within the program environment.
- Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to build effective communication and relationships.
- Respond promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours to ensure transparency and trust.
- Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support outlined program goals and implement changes or processes as guided.
- Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs, ensuring “name to face” attendance procedures are completed per company policy.
- Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED completed.
- Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
- Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
- Strong communication skills (oral, written, and visual) with adults and children.
- Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and the community.
- Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
- 18+ years of age.
- LIVE Scan fingerprint background check.
- Mandated Reporter training.
- First Aid and CPR (in-person EMSA 16 Hr Prevention Health) certification required or willingness to acquire.
- Cleared tuberculosis test.
- 48 units at an institution of higher learning; OR obtain an Associate's (or higher) degree; OR pass the District's Instructional Assistant written examination.
