Part-time Program Manager (Redondo Beach)

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended-day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind.

About the role

As a Program Manager, you’ll drive the mission by ensuring safety and joy standards are met while supporting a team of staff members. You’ll maintain operational efficiency, coach staff, and foster respectful relationships to address challenges promptly.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit role model qualities to ensure safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities for staff.
• Support operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
• Outline attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensure program tasks are completed effectively.
• Provide continual coaching to foster respectful relationships among staff and address challenges to maintain team cohesion and productivity.
• Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks within the program environment.
• Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to support effective communication and relationship building.
• Respond promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours to ensure transparency and trust.
• Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support outlined program goals and implement changes or processes as guided.
• Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs, ensuring “name to face” attendance procedures are completed per company policy.
• Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
• Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements, including First Aid and CPR certification (in-person), and a cleared tuberculosis test.
• Proof of MMR vaccination (for individuals 18+ years of age).

Skills

• Experience working amongst competing priorities and delivering quality service to all stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, and visual) with adults and children.
• Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and the community.
• Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–5:30 PM.
