About the role
- Exhibits role model qualities ensuring safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities to a team of staff members.
- Supports operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
- Outlines attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensures program tasks are completed effectively.
- Provides continual coaching, fostering respectful relationships among staff to address any challenges or issues promptly to maintain team cohesion and productivity.
- Consistently supports and reports on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants.
- Engages meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to support effective communication and relationship building.
- Responds promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours to ensure transparency and trust.
- Communicates and collaborates regularly with the Area Manager to support outlined program goals and assist in implementing changes or processes as guided.
- Maintains accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs, ensuring “name to face” attendance procedures are completed per company policy.
- Implements daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED completed.
- Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
- Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
- Strong communication skills; oral, written, and visual with adults and children.
- Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
- Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
- 20+ years of age.
- Ability to meet Connecticut state-specific requirements, including:
- First Aid and CPR (in-person).
- Cleared tuberculosis test.
- Must be on site 60% of the time.
- 1080 hours of documented supervised experience over a nine (9) month span of time and one of the following:
- CDA (Child Development Associate).
- 12 credits in early childhood education or child development.
- BS/BA degree in early childhood education or child development, 360 hours of experience working with alike ages, 1 semester student teaching with alike ages.
Pay
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour (based on education and experience).
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 3:10 PM - 6:00 PM.
