About the role

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment to support the success of all students. As a Program Manager, you’ll drive our mission to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit role model qualities to ensure safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities for a team of staff members.
  • Support operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
  • Outline attendance protocols, behavior policies, and safety procedures, ensuring program tasks are completed effectively.
  • Provide continual coaching and foster respectful relationships among staff to address challenges promptly, maintaining team cohesion and productivity.
  • Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants.
  • Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to build effective communication and relationships.
  • Respond promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours to ensure transparency and trust.
  • Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support outlined program goals and assist in implementing changes or processes.
  • Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs, ensuring “name to face” attendance procedures are completed per company policy.
  • Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED completed.
  • Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
  • Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, and visual) with adults and children.
  • Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
  • Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
  • 18+ years of age.
  • Proof of MMR vaccination (New York State requirement).
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).

Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following New York State requirements:

  • Associate's degree in child development, elementary education, physical education, recreation, or a related field AND 2 years of direct experience working with children under the age of 13, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
  • New York State Children's Program Administrator Credential AND 2 years of direct experience working with children under the age of 13, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
  • School Age Child Care Credential AND 2 years of direct experience working with children under the age of 13, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
  • 2 years of college with 18 credits in the above-listed areas of concentration, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity AND 2 years of direct experience working with children under the age of 13.

Skills

  • Experience working amongst competing priorities and delivering quality service to all stakeholders.

Pay

$21.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
