About the role

Program Manager at Right At School oversees local school district before and after school extended day programs. The role focuses on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment, with a mission to inspire a love of learning and provide safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibits role model qualities ensuring safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities to a team of staff members.
  • Supports operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
  • Outlines attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensures program tasks are completed effectively.
  • Continually coaches, fosters respectful relationships among staff to address any challenges or issues promptly to maintain team cohesion and productivity.
  • Consistently supports and reports on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants.
  • Identifies and submits proof of MMRE.
  • Engages meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to support effective communication and relationship building.
  • Responds promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours to ensure transparency and trust.
  • Communicates and collaborates regularly with the Area Manager to support outlined program goals and assist in implementing changes or processes as guided.
  • Maintains accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs. Ensures “name to face” attendance procedures are completed per company policy.
  • Implements daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.

Requirements

  • New Jersey State Requirements: Ability to meet state-specific requirements; First Aid and CPR-in-person; Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • Short & Long Term Disability Requirements based on capacity: 6-15 children - High school diploma or GED completed, 6 hours training (in child care), 2 years experience; 16-30 children - High school diploma or GED completed, 6 hours training (in child care), 3 years experience; 31 or more children - High school diploma or GED completed, 6 hours training (in child care), 3 hours (in child program management), 2 years experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED completed.
  • Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
  • Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
  • Communication skills; oral, written, and visual with adults and children.
  • Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
  • Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.

$21.00-$25.00 (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Monday-Friday 3:00pm to 6:00pm
