Job Type Part-time Description Illinois Bone & Joint is looking for a Part Time (16 - 20 hours per week) Physical Therapist to join our growing OrthoHealth program, a comprehensive wellness and weight loss program focusing on a healthy Metabolic system. You would be a part of a multidisciplinary team providing collaborative care addressing adult and pediatric obesity. In this role, you will work alongside dieticians, health coaches and physicians to provide a comprehensive care plan to optimize a patient’s metabolic health. Essential Job Functions Exceptional patient careDemonstrate empathy and understanding of patients ability and function that will support a behavioral change in patients resistance to movement and exerciseFamiliarity with the NEAT philosophy for exercise trainingDevelop group exercise programs for participants in the OrthoHealth ProgramHave an interest in evidence based education and exercise plans that can be tailored to fit patients individualized needsInterest in Nutrition, sleep and health coaching as they impact metabolic healthInterprets physician orders, performs initial evaluations and establishes treatment plans and functional goalsResponsible for upgrading and amending the treatment goals as necessary during the episode of careWritten documentation on patient status to physicians per compliance guidelinesDetermine appropriate discharge timeline and appropriate follow upCompliance with daily paperwork. PTs are responsible for documenting all treatment in patient charts in a timely manner (initial evals, daily notes, progress notes, discharges, HEP)Stays current with billing policies and demonstrates ethical billing practicesMaintains active state license by earning appropriate CEUs through outside courses and IBJI sponsored educational opportunitiesDevelops positive relationships with the physician teams at IBJI Requirements Job Requirements Available to work 2 evening shifts per week and some SaturdaysAble to multitask and work in a fast paced environment to support timely and efficient clinic workflowAble to function with a teamCommunicate effectively verbally and in writing to document/record informationStrong interpersonal skills, able to work well and communicate professionally with physicians, patients and staff in all levels of the organizationAble to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
