Part-time Phlebotomist
About the role
Join our growing fertility team in Bellevue and play a meaningful role in helping patients on their path to building a family. We are seeking a Part-Time Phlebotomist to provide exceptional patient care through accurate blood collection and specimen processing in a fast-paced, compassionate clinical environment. This position works closely with physicians and clinical staff to support fertility treatments while creating a positive experience for every patient.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, blood draws, specimen collection, labeling, processing, centrifuging, storage, and transportation in accordance with laboratory protocols.
- Properly identify patients, explain procedures, and provide reassurance and comfort before, during, and after treatment.
- Aid physicians and clinical staff with examinations, ultrasounds, and office procedures while following established clinical protocols.
- Accurately document ultrasound measurements, provider comments, laboratory information, and patient care activities in the EMR.
- Process and manage in-house and outside laboratory specimens, results, reports, and communications.
- Prepare, stock, clean, and maintain exam rooms, procedure rooms, equipment, and phlebotomy areas.
- Maintain inventory of clinical and laboratory supplies and ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and safety standards.
- Provide patients with information and instructions regarding testing, treatment plans, and upcoming procedures.
- Support efficient patient flow and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced fertility clinic environment.
- Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1+ years' recent work performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting - required
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Word, and Outlook - required
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience - required
Qualifications
- Completion of a Phlebotomy Program– highly preferred (required in CA, WA, TX)
