Part-Time Phlebotomist
About the role
IVI RMA North America is seeking a Part-Time Phlebotomist for their Eatontown, NJ clinic. This role involves drawing blood from patients for infertility-related laboratory procedures. The position operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6am-11am and Wednesday from 6am-2pm, with rotating weekends.
Essential Functions And Accountabilities
- Properly identifies patients.
- Performs and explains the process of venipunctures and other specimen collections as required.
- Conducts blood draws, labels specimens, and centrifuges specimens.
- Stores and transports specimen samples according to different procedures to maintain specimen integrity.
- Understands and complies with OSHA and DEP regulations.
- Maintains a clean and stocked phlebotomy area.
- Reassures patients and provides comfort to ease their anxieties.
Position Requirements/Experience
- 3+ years' recent work performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting – required.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Word, and Outlook – required.
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience – required.
