Part-Time Phlebotomist

About the role

We’re seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team and provide accurate and professional specimen collection services. Key responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

• Ensure all patient paperwork is accurately completed and required information is captured.
• Perform specimen collections including blood and urine with precision and care.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, clients, and laboratory staff.
• Adhere to confidentiality, HIPAA, and compliance standards.
• Maintain accurate client records and update information as necessary.
• Stay current on training and best practices for specimen collections.
• Provide regular updates and collaborate with office staff, laboratory technologists, and managers.
• Follow all state and federal laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy Certification required.
• Experience in specimen collection including blood and urine or related healthcare services.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Prior experience in a customer service position.
• Familiarity with record-keeping and administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks.
• Long periods of sitting or standing may be required.
• Exposure to safety risks, diseases, or infections while collecting biological specimens.
