Part-Time Phlebotomist

About the role

We’re seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team and provide critical specimen collection services. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately complete patient paperwork and capture required information during the collection process.
• Perform specimen collections, including blood and urine, with precision and care.
• Act as a liaison between patients, clients, and laboratory staff, maintaining a professional and respectful environment.
• Adhere to confidentiality, HIPAA, and compliance standards.
• Maintain accurate client records and monitor inventory to ensure collection supplies are fully stocked.
• Stay current on training and best practices for specimen collections.
• Provide regular updates and collaborate with office staff, laboratory technologists, and managers as needed.
• Follow all state and federal laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy Certification required.
• Experience in specimen collection, including blood and urine, or related healthcare services.
• Prior experience in a customer service position.
• Familiarity with record-keeping and administrative duties is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks such as keyboard use for extended periods.
• Long periods of sitting or standing may be required.
• Exposure to safety risks, diseases, or infections while collecting biological specimens in various conditions.
