Part-Time Phlebotomist

About the role

A Phlebotomist II collects, processes, and enters specimens in a clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens such as drug screens, biometric, and insurance tests following established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions and verify test/client information using lab technology systems.
• Accurately enter data, obtain identification, and manage billing information.
• Process specimens through labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient duties like inventory management, sanitizing, filing, and communication via phone and email.
• Maintain logs, adhere to policies, and complete training.

Requirements

• Minimum three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Proficiency in keyboard/data entry.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• High school diploma or equivalent; medical training preferred.
• Certification required in certain states.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication skills in English.
