Part-Time Pharmacy Technician

About the role

Responsible for accurately assisting licensed pharmacists by providing medication and healthcare products, preparing prescriptions, managing inventory, and delivering excellent customer service. Ensures compliance with legal and HIPAA policies while supporting pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

• Stock and inventory medications, notify management of supply needs.
• Receive prescriptions and refills, count, label, and package medications.
• Maintain customer profiles, process insurance forms, and operate cash registers.
• Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Assist with tasks delegated by pharmacists, including patient counseling and prescription verification.
• Follow all legal, safety, and confidentiality policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; pharmacy-related experience preferred.
• State registration or certification required.

Skills

• Strong reading, writing, and basic math skills.
• Detail-oriented with suggestive selling knowledge.

Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 30 pounds frequently, and work in varied environments.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods in a retail setting, with accommodations available if needed.
