Position Summary

Processes member purchases by operating cash registers and managing pharmacy operations.

What you'll do...

• Processes member purchases by operating cash registers and related hardware.
• Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise.
• Maintains the Pharmacy area by handling claims and returns, utilizing equipment, and performing merchandising functions.
• Maintains the prescription fulfillment process by processing information for third-party insurance claims, rescanning images, and alerting patients to inventory issues.
• Provides patient/member service by assisting the pharmacist in the prescription fulfillment process, processing third-party insurance claims, and assisting with prescription orders and purchases.
• Enters prescription data into pharmacy software, reads prescriptions, and transcribes prescription data.
• Fills prescriptions by retrieving orders, counting, pouring, measuring, or weighing medications, and operating scanning equipment.
• Verifies and enters patient information into the TaSCO system, retrieves prescriptions, scans security tags, gathers signatures, and logs sales of restricted pharmaceutical items.
• Completes work assignments by following policies, data, and resources, collaborating with team members, and addressing improvement opportunities.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans and adhering to the Open Door Policy.

Qualifications

• Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure when required by the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT) within 9 months of job entry.

Pay and Schedule

• The hourly wage range for this position is $22.50 to $30.50*.
• The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
• Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
