About the role
The Family Place program at St. David's Center for Child & Family Development provides early intervention and mental health support for young children aged 3.5-6 who struggle with managing emotions and behavior.
Responsibilities
- Work with individual children and/or in small groups to implement curriculum activities
- Aid in creating a structured, safe, and therapeutic classroom environment
- Assist with classroom setup and cleanup responsibilities
- Prepare curriculum materials
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver therapeutic interventions and support skill development
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED plus 8000 hours of experience working with children
- Associate’s degree plus 4000 hours of experience working with children
- Bachelor’s degree plus 1000 hours of experience working with children
- Experience working with early childhood population (ages 3-6)
- Experience working with children who exhibit challenging behaviors
- Experience working in a classroom or group care setting
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma/GED + 8000 hours of experience, Associate’s degree + 4000 hours of experience, Bachelor’s degree + 1000 hours of experience
- Experience: Working with early childhood population (ages 3-6), working with children who exhibit challenging behaviors, experience in a classroom or group care setting

Pay
The pay range for this position starts at $18.65 - $21.92 per hour, based on qualifications (licensure and experience).
Schedule
M-F from 12pm - 4pm, 20 hours per week
