Part-Time Paraprofessional

About the role

This is a part-time Paraprofessional position for the 2026-2027 school year at Mountain Heights Academy, an online public charter school serving grades 7-12 in Utah.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in creating a positive learning environment
• Assist students with academic challenges and provide guidance
• Help manage student behavior and maintain classroom order
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement lesson plans
• Provide additional support during school hours and after school

Requirements

• A valid Utah Secondary Education Teaching License endorsed in Spanish
• Strong computer and technology skills
• A personable demeanor
• Prior experience teaching in a virtual classroom or online (preferred)

Qualifications

• Experience working with students in an online or virtual setting
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Knowledge of educational technology tools and platforms
