About the role
The Outreach Assistant will engage diverse audiences through astronomy education and public programming.
Responsibilities
- Present outreach programs, including planetarium shows, solar observing, spectroscopy demonstrations, and Solar System scale models
- Assist in developing planetarium programming
- Coordinate and communicate with groups requesting planetarium programs
- Develop documentation for outreach activities
- Update print materials used for outreach
Qualifications
Candidates with experience in teaching and outreach programming for audiences of various ages will stand out.
Pay
$15/hour.
Schedule
Approximately 10 hours per week.
The selected candidate will report to Dr. Chris Palma.
