Part Time - Outpatient Registrar

About the Role

The Registrar Outpatient Center is responsible for greeting patients, verifying demographic, financial, and medical information, and scheduling or registering patients for services.

Responsibilities

• Obtain authorizations and collect payments
• Verify insurance details and secure patient consents and advanced directives
• Ensure patient identification accuracy
• Coordinate patient flow and manage registration errors
• Handle documentation through various hospital systems
• Communicate with patients and families, addressing inquiries
• Facilitate smooth outpatient processes
• Respond to on-call shifts as required
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality patient registration and service delivery

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year customer service experience; healthcare environment familiarity preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under stress and maintain confidentiality
• Ability to follow complex instructions
• Adaptability, professionalism, and resourcefulness
• Effective resource management
