About the role

The Physical Therapist Assistant supports the Physical Therapist in delivering physical therapy care by performing delegated procedures, modifying treatments based on patient status, and documenting progress. They ensure patient safety, address age‑specific needs, and treat patients with respect and dignity. The assistant assesses and manages patient pain per departmental policies, aiming to optimize comfort during hospitalization. The role includes providing technical assistance to the Physical Therapy aide and coordinating departmental workload to ensure efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required
• Current license from the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
• Entry‑level candidates are welcome
