Part-Time Outlet Associate

About the role

The Outlet Associate assists the outlet leadership in achieving operational goals by performing various roles within the outlet location. Duties include cashiering, managing bins, moving furniture, sorting recyclables, accepting donations, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Rings up customer orders, maintains a balanced drawer, and follows cash handling procedures.
• Provides information about Goodwill programs and answers customer questions.
• Maintains cleanliness of the sales floor and safely moves furniture.
• Sorts and rotates commodity bins and sorts items accordingly.
• Accepts donations from customers and educates them on current Goodwill promotions.
• Sorts through donated items to remove personal and confidential materials.
• Notifies leadership of any unusual items found.
• Loads and unloads trucks as needed and uses heavy equipment.

Requirements

• Knowledge of warehouse processes, including receiving, putaway, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Reasoning ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions.
• Teamwork and customer focus skills.
• Attention to detail and time management skills.

Qualifications

• No degree or credential required.
• Familiarity with computers and relevant software.
• Physical requirements: able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods; lift up to 50 pounds; manage frequent exposure to moderate noise and temperature variations; and use hands to grasp, carry, feel, or touch products and machinery.
