Part - Time Nurse Practitioner - Temp Pool

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide healthcare services in the clinic.
• Provide healthcare consistent with training, current acceptable practice and protocols, including treatment and referrals to physician preceptor or other appropriate outside health care providers.
• Perform procedures such as dressing changes, ear irrigations, suture removal, etc.
• Administer vaccines and other injectables, allergy shots.
• Phlebotomy and processing of lab specimens.
• Perform CLIA waived tests such as monospot, strep, urinalysis, blood glucose.
• Apply and read TB skin tests.
• Auxiliary with special vaccine clinics.
• Respond to emergency situations.

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge of current treatments for diagnoses in primary care.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and FERPA.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR.
• Excellent oral and written skills, including strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel programs, other software as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse constituents - students, University employees and outside service providers.
• Master's degree nurse practitioner.
• Current Tennessee licensure.
• ANA board certified nurse practitioner.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience.
