About the Role
The Aspire Advanced Practice Provider is a vital part of our clinical staff in our mission to cure patients who suffer from allergies and sinus problems. They will deliver a memorable experience for our patients with each interaction, ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction are top of mind. They will practice precision in providing allergy testing and treatment to patients 2 years old and above. They will share responsibility with their peers and the clinical team to ensure the clinic runs smoothly and exemplify integrity in everything they do.
Schedule
- Wednesday/Thursday: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
- Flexibility: Must be available to provide coverage in both Midland and Odessa clinics as needed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and obtain medical histories focused on allergy and sinus conditions.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic allergic and sinus conditions, including allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, and asthma.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including allergy testing, sinus CT scans, and pulmonary function tests.
- Develop individualized treatment plans including medications, immunotherapy, and procedural recommendations.
- Perform and assist with in-office procedures such as:
- Administration and supervision of allergy immunotherapy (SCIT and SLIT)
- Nasal endoscopy
- Educate patients on disease management, treatment options, and medication use.
- Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Document all patient encounters accurately in EHR within 24 hours of their visit.
- Oversee and manage both food and environmental allergy testing for patients using Percutaneous Allergy Skin Testing and Intracutaneous Allergy Testing.
- Provide pre-op and post-op evaluation and treatment after surgeon-performed sinus procedures.
- Develop relationships with referring medical providers and the local medical community.
- Attend lunches and events with the assigned territory provider relationship rep to help garner credibility and market Aspire.
- Adhere to standard metrics:
- Testing: 50% minimum threshold
- Treatment: 30% minimum threshold
- IOP Conversion: 7% minimum threshold
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3+ years of practicing as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner
- Graduate from an approved Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Program
- Current Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified
- Valid driver’s license
