Part-Time Nurse

About the role

This position is for a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for delivering trauma-informed nursing care to youth across residential campuses.

Responsibilities

• Assess and respond to medical needs, conduct health and vision screenings, and manage medication administration and reconciliation.
• Coordinate off-site medical appointments, monitor prescribed medications, and ensure proper follow-up and documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, staff, families, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
• Support quality assurance, staff training, and emergency response procedures, including CPR/AED and First Aid instruction.
• Travel between campuses to provide consistent nursing support and clinical oversight.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing and current Wisconsin RN license.
• Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Skills

• Preferred experience with youth in behavioral health or residential settings, trauma-informed care, and electronic health records.
• Certifications such as DHS PREP, CPR/AED, First Aid, and CBRF Trainer are advantageous.
