About the role
This position is for a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for delivering trauma-informed nursing care to youth across residential campuses.
Responsibilities
- Assess and respond to medical needs, conduct health and vision screenings, and manage medication administration and reconciliation.
- Coordinate off-site medical appointments, monitor prescribed medications, and ensure proper follow-up and documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, staff, families, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
- Support quality assurance, staff training, and emergency response procedures, including CPR/AED and First Aid instruction.
- Travel between campuses to provide consistent nursing support and clinical oversight.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing and current Wisconsin RN license.
- Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Skills
- Preferred experience with youth in behavioral health or residential settings, trauma-informed care, and electronic health records.
- Certifications such as DHS PREP, CPR/AED, First Aid, and CBRF Trainer are advantageous.
