Part Time Newborn Hearing Screening Technician

Responsibilities

• Covering all infants in the well baby and NICU units for hearing screenings before discharge.
• Coordinating post-discharge follow-up care as needed.
• Communicating the relevance of hearing screening and early identification to parents and patients.
• Analyzing and communicating responses to problem situations.
• Maintaining and using hearing screening equipment.
• Assisting with database management.
• Interacting with various hospital departments.
• Conducting hearing screening tests prior to patient discharge.
• Supporting patient care goals and objectives.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• One (1) or more years of healthcare or childcare training/experience, or related college curriculum.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to function independently in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Willingness and ability to learn and operate hearing screening equipment.
