About the role

Family located in 90503. We’re a fun‑loving, tight‑knit family of 3 with two small dogs and one parakeet. Both parents work full‑time and seek an engaging, responsible big‑sister/big‑brother type nanny for our 12‑year‑old daughter. She enjoys Sharks and Minnows at the pool, Disneyland, the park, make‑believe play with dolls and stuffies, and screens. We want a nanny who can naturally draw her into other activities, keep her active, and encourage a healthy balance without constant battles over screen time. The ideal nanny is fun, playful, unafraid to make messes, open to feedback, communicates well with parents, has endless ideas for activities that don’t involve the iPad, can assist with 7th‑grade homework, enjoys connecting with kids at this age, establishes trust, guides with patience and kindness, is confident and consistent when boundaries need reinforcement, and understands the unique balance of growing independence and clear expectations required for caring for a pre‑teen.
