A bit about us: We are a caring, loving, and active family of 3 with two cats named Rory (Gilmore Girls fan!) and Teddy. We value routine, honesty, kindness, and open communication. We’re into sports, reading, Hawaii, and spending quality time together. I’m a teacher and an animal-lover originally from France, and my husband is originally from Belgium; he loves our community and playing basketball. We both mostly work outside the home, but my husband has a hybrid schedule. Our 5-year-old son is sweet, caring, and energetic. He loves sports, running, and playing with balls. He also truly enjoys being read to, playing with cars and Legos. At his kindergarten, he will be learning Spanish!

A bit about you: You are warm, playful, punctual, and reliable. You love a good routine and understand that children thrive with a consistent routine. You engage children through reading, outdoor play, and creative activities with minimal screen time. You’re looking for a good, long-term family that is trustworthy, considerate, and open with you.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare simple vegetarian dinners
  • School pick-ups
  • Prep an after-school snack
  • Engage in play, fun, and reading
  • Homework help as needed
  • Light child-related tidying

Requirements

  • Experience caring for children between the ages of 5-7
  • Safe driving record
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Previous experience driving children (ideally)
  • Basic/intermediate cooking skills and able to follow a simple recipe
  • CPR certified or willing to obtain
  • Comfort around cats

Skills

  • Kindergarten teaching experience (preferred)
  • Spanish/English or French/English language skills (preferred)
  • Passion for active, screen-free childcare

Schedule

  • Mon/Tues/Wed: 2-7p
  • Thurs/Fri: 2-5p
  • Occasional monthly Friday date nights may be available with advance notice

Pay

$32-$37 an hour
