Part-Time Morning Youth Soccer Coach

About the Role

Soccer Shots Harrisburg is hiring energetic, dependable, and caring coaches to lead fun, engaging soccer sessions for children ages 2-8. No coaching experience is required—we'll teach you everything you need to know through our comprehensive paid training program. Our mission is to positively impact children's lives by building confidence, character, and a love for being active.

Schedule

• Focused on weekday mornings at local preschools and childcare centers (approximately 9:00 AM-12:00 PM).
• Available at least 2 weekday mornings each week.
• Consistent availability from early September through early November.
• Interest in returning for the Winter 2027 season beginning in January.
• Coaches typically work 4-15 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-energy 30-45 minute soccer sessions for children ages 2-8.
• Teach character development alongside basic soccer skills using our expert-designed curriculum.
• Set up and pack up equipment at each location.
• Encourage every child through positive coaching and age-appropriate instruction.
• Communicate professionally with preschool staff, parents, and the Soccer Shots Leadership Team.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and memorable experience for every child.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to be active outdoors and demonstrate basic movements during sessions.
• Ability to pass required background clearances.
• Available at least two weekday mornings each week.
• Able to commit to the Fall season (September through early November) with minimal scheduling conflicts.

Pay

$22/hour.

A Typical Morning

• Arrive at a local preschool around 8:50 AM.
• Set up Soccer Island.
• Coach several fun 30-45 minute sessions.
• Celebrate goals, encourage smiles, and help children build confidence.
• Pack up around lunchtime and head home knowing you made a difference.
