Part Time Mobile Food Center Driver- Health Equity
The Mobile Food Center (MFC) is seeking a part-time driver and food distributor to serve the Philadelphia community. This position operates every Thursday and additionally the 1st Tuesday of every month, with approximately 20 hours per month.
About the Role
Responsible for the pickup and delivery of mail, valuable documents, and fresh food/produce to and from designated locations, including Practice Groups, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), affiliated departments, and communities in Cobbs Creek & Kingsessing. When necessary, may deliver bank deposits and perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Daily pickup and distribution of mail among and between divisions (90%)
- Pick up and drop off bank deposits
- Perform mail runs to Practice Groups, CHOP Main, Fiscal Services Offices, and other designated locations
- Handle special deliveries and off-site pickups/deliveries as requested
- Other duties as assigned (10%)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Valid Driver’s License from the Department of Motor Vehicles (Required upon hire)
- Ability to operate a company vehicle or be insured on a CHOP Policy
- Good interpersonal and math skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Reliable, responsible, and able to follow directions and read maps
- Comfort interacting with community members
- Experience with telephones, photocopiers, and similar office equipment
Pay
Hourly salary range: $17.40 – $21.75. Salary ranges are shown for full-time roles; part-time pay will be adjusted accordingly.
Schedule
Part-time, approximately 20 hours per month. Shifts occur every Thursday and the 1st Tuesday of every month.
