About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase our celebrations products in various retail locations. The role involves merchandising and organizing product displays, maintaining inventory levels, and providing customer service.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
• Work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• No prior experience necessary, training provided
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Flexible availability for additional working days and extended hours leading up to and following major holidays

Benefits

We offer a competitive starting pay of $15.30 per hour with potential for two increases during the first year of employment. After 6 months, the pay rate increases to $16.20, and after 1 year, it increases to $17.00. Additionally, we provide paid training and a 401(k) with a company match.

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 2 hours, which may increase to an average of 6 hours per week around holidays. The route services multiple retail locations including 2007 W Jefferson St, Springfield, IL, 62702; 3121 S. Dirksen Pkwy; 3059 S Dirksen Pkwy; 101 N Grand Ave W; 1241 Knoll Pointe Pl; 1508 S Macarthur Blvd; 2117 E Clear Lake Ave and 1057 East Ash St.

Pay

The starting pay is $15.30 per hour with potential for two increases during the first year of employment. The pay rates are subject to change based on work location.
